B&B: Dry blended liqueur produced in France that is made from Benedictine and old Cognac.
Bacardi 151 Proof Rum: Well-known brand of rum. It is 151 proof or 75.5 percent alcohol by volume.
Bacardi Anejo: A White Bacardi that is aged for six years. It is forty percent alcohol by volume.
Bacardi Pina Colada Mix: A concentrate similar to orange juice that only requires the adding of rum and ice to make a drink.
Bacchus: The Roman god of wine.
Baileys: Blend of Irish whiskey and and cream flavored with coffee.
Baking Soda: Rising agent used in baking and cooking.
Balance: Term used to describe the harmony of a drink's components of aroma, flavor and texture.
Barley: Grain that is the primary ingredient of brewing. A distinction is normally made between two-row and six-row.
Barley Wine: Extra-strong ale, usually above nine percent alcohol by volume.
Bass Pale Ale: A brand of Irish brewed beer.
Batida de Coco: Brand of coconut-flavored rum from Brazil that is similar to Malibu rum.
Beef Bouillon: Beef stock or broth.
Beefeater Dry Gin: A well-known brand of gin.
Beer: An alcoholic beverage that is brewed from malted barley, sugar, hops, and water.
Benedictine: Brandy-based liqueur containing a secret herb formula produced by the Benedictine monks in France and Spain.
Berliner Weisse: Low-alcohol, cloudy wheat beer from Berlin.
Big: Tasting term that refers to a good-tasting, flavorful drink that is often high in alcohol.
Bitters: Concentrated extract made from roots, herbs, or fruits. It is used sparingly to flavor cocktails.
Blended whiskey: A combination of whiskeys and/or neutral spirits that contain at least twenty percent of straight whiskey.
Bloody Mary Mix: A mixture that enables you to easily make a Bloody Mary by just adding vodka.
Blue Curacao: A liqueur made from white curacao and blue colouring.
Blue Food Coloring: An artificial and edible coloring used in baking and cooking.
Blue Label Smirnoff: One hundred proof Smirnoff vodka.
Blueberry Liqueur: This liqueur is produced by maceration and infusion of blueberries.
Blueberry Schnapps: Strong, dry spirit produced by the distillation of blueberries.
Bombay Dry Gin: Brand of dry gin that is forty percent alcohol by volume.
Bourbon: Whiskey made of no less than 51% corn, rye, wheat, malted barley, or malted grain. It is stored in charred new oak containers.
Boodle's Gin: Brand of gin that is forty percent alcohol by volume.
Boone Strawberry Hill Wine: An inexpensive, low-alcohol wine made from strawberry flavoring and citrus wines.
Brandy: Spirit produced primarily from the juice of grapes. It can also be made from the juice of apples, peaches, plums, or other fruits.
Brown Sugar: Sugar that is not refined or that is only partially refined.
Budweiser Beer: A well-known brand of beer.
Bulmers Cider: Brand of cider produced primarily in England.
Bundaberg Rum: A type of rum that is produced from Queensland, Australia.
Burgundy Wine: A wine from the famous Burgundy region of France.
Byrrh: Usually served as an aperitif, Byrrh is a bitter wine produced in France.
